Analytics for US visits
For visits Cloudflare identifies as coming from the United States, Microsoft Clarity starts automatically to help me understand which projects people explore and where the site could work better. You can turn it off at any time. Clarity receives information such as pages visited, referring sites, browser and device details, time on the site, clicks, and scrolling.
Clarity also creates heatmaps and session replays: reconstructions of interactions with this website, not recordings of your camera or the rest of your screen. Form inputs are masked. I don't send Clarity your name, email address, or an account ID.
For visits outside the United States, or when location cannot be determined, Clarity does not load. The location check uses Cloudflare's approximate country information, not your device's location permission. Your country is not stored as a site preference.
If you have turned analytics off, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Clarity stays off. This site does not request advertising consent; advertising storage is set to denied.
Change your mind any time
Use Analytics settings here or in the footer to turn analytics off or enable it again for US visits. Turning it off stops future collection on this site and removes this site's Clarity cookies; the page may reload to finish stopping the recorder. This does not erase data already received by Microsoft.
What stays in your browser
Your analytics choice is saved in local browser storage until you change it or clear that storage. If persistent storage is unavailable, the site tries a six-month opt-out cookie and session storage instead. If all storage is blocked, it cannot reliably remember a choice across visits. These preferences do not contain a visitor ID. The site also remembers display preferences such as light or dark mode.
Choices are separate for each browser and website address, so a choice on kaspo.dev does not automatically apply to daniel.kaspo.dev. Previously saved choices to decline analytics are still honored.
When allowed, Clarity uses cookies to connect page visits into sessions. You can read more about Clarity's data collection, content masking, and Microsoft's privacy practices.
Hosting and links
Embedded YouTube films show a local preview image until you choose to play them. Selecting Play connects to YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which follows Google's privacy practices. This requested video playback is separate from your Clarity analytics setting.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. It processes network requests to serve pages, keep the site secure, and provide basic traffic statistics such as requests and countries. That processing continues independently of the Clarity setting, including for visits outside the United States. This site adds no separate Cloudflare tracking script. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for more information.
