Stay with what you’re reading
Search Jisho adds one small action to Chrome: highlight some Japanese text, right-click, and open it in Jisho. The selected word travels straight into the dictionary search.
The extension stays deliberately small. It uses Chrome’s context-menu API and opens a normal browser tab, without introducing another interface to manage.
A little utility that found its people
The extension is published on the Chrome Web Store. On September 24, 2026, the listing displayed 2,000 users—a snapshot of the store’s count, rather than a lifetime download total.
The implementation uses JavaScript and Chrome’s Manifest V3. Its job is narrow enough to explain in a sentence, and the source is correspondingly small.
